Part-Time Consultant Electrical Engineer

Raban Al-Safina Group of Companies announces a job opportunity to join its team in the following position: Part-Time Consultant Electrical Engineer. Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. • Master's degree in Building Engineering, Electrical Power Systems, or Project Management is preferred. • Minimum 12-15 years of practical experience in designing or supervising electrical projects. • Minimum 7-10 years of experience in hospital or healthcare facility projects. • Experience in designing or supervising a hospital with a capacity of at least 200 beds. • Experience in all project phases, including design, drawing review, execution, testing, commissioning, and operation. • Strong experience in designing and reviewing medium and low voltage networks. • Experience with electrical transformers and main/sub-distribution boards. • Experience with grounding and lightning protection systems. • Experience with UPS and backup generator systems. • Experience with Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) systems. • Experience with indoor and outdoor lighting systems and emergency lighting. • Experience in coordinating electrical protections, short circuit analysis, and Arc Flash. • Knowledge of energy efficiency and electrical load management systems. • Experience with Building Management Systems (BMS) and Energy Management Systems (EMS). • Experience with smart building systems, communication networks, and infrastructure. • Experience with Data Centers and Internet of Things (IoT) systems. • Experience in integrating electrical, mechanical, medical, and communication systems. • Good knowledge of international standards and codes such as IEC, NEC, NFPA 70, NFPA 99, NFPA 110, and NFPA 101, in addition to local codes. • Proficiency in using Revit MEP, AutoCAD, ETAP, and DIALux evo. • Experience with BIM 360 or Autodesk Construction Cloud. • Proficiency in using Navisworks. • Good knowledge of Microsoft Project or Primavera P6. Job Duties: • Review and approve electrical designs and drawings. • Coordinate with architects, mechanical engineers, medical systems engineers, and other disciplines. • Review electrical load calculations. • Review single-line diagrams. • Review and approve electrical equipment specifications. • Supervise FAT and SAT tests. • Supervise inspection, testing, and commissioning works. • Monitor technical risks related to electrical works. • Ensure designs and execution comply with required standards, codes, and specifications. • Provide technical consultations and recommendations to the project team. • Review technical documents and drawings during various project stages. • Follow up and coordinate electrical works with different engineering disciplines. • Support the project team in technical matters related to electrical works as per project requirements. • Monitor work quality and ensure compliance with approved specifications and standards. Required Skills and Attributes: • Strong experience in electrical projects, especially hospital and healthcare facility projects. • High ability to review and analyze electrical designs and drawings. • Advanced knowledge of medium and low voltage systems. • Strong knowledge of backup power systems, UPS, ATS, and generators. • Strong skills in coordinating between different engineering disciplines. • High ability to identify technical problems and provide appropriate solutions. • Strong skills in managing and monitoring technical risks. • Commitment to approved engineering standards and codes. • High communication skills and ability to work with project teams and consultants. • Ability to work independently and provide technical consultations when needed. • Proficiency in English, especially in technical terms, correspondence, and reports.
