Cost Accountant

Responsibilities: • Prepare and update meal cost cards and recipes according to approved quantities and purchase prices. • Calculate costs of raw materials, packaging, labor, and operational expenses related to production. • Monitor production costs in the central kitchen and calculate the cost of products transferred to branches. • Review material movement from receipt and storage to issuance, production, and transfer between locations. • Follow up on periodic and surprise inventory counts, reconcile actual balances with the system, and analyze discrepancies. • Compare actual consumption with standard consumption based on recipes and sales, and identify reasons for deviations. • Analyze waste, spoilage, returns, and production yield, and provide suggestions to reduce losses. • Monitor changes in raw material prices and their impact on product costs and profit margins. • Prepare reports on product costs, branches, and the central kitchen, clarifying reasons for cost increases. • Analyze profit margins for each product and evaluate the impact of discounts, offers, and delivery application commissions. • Coordinate with procurement, warehouse, production, and branch departments to ensure data accuracy. • Provide practical recommendations to improve profitability and control costs while maintaining quality. Qualifications: • Actual experience of no less than 3 years in cost accounting. • Previous experience in the restaurant or food sector, preferably in central kitchens and restaurant chains. • Practical understanding of standard recipes, units of measurement and conversion, and spoilage rates during preparation and production. • Proficiency in using accounting and warehouse software and Excel for data analysis and report preparation. • Ability to detect discrepancies, verify their causes, and follow up on their resolution. • High accuracy, professional integrity, confidentiality, and adherence to reporting deadlines. 📍 Work Location: Baghdad 💰 Salaries start from 900,000 Iraqi Dinars per month, determined by experience and competence.
