Job Title: Network Engineer Years of Experience: 3 years Department: Information Technology Location: Baghdad Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced Network Engineer with a strong background in designing, implementing, and maintaining network infrastructure, security systems, and communication networks with high efficiency. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring seamless connectivity, high availability, and security in the company's network environment. Key Responsibilities: Network and Infrastructure Management: Install, configure, and maintain core network infrastructure: Routers, Switches, Firewalls, and Wireless Access Points. Manage and optimize the performance of LAN/WAN networks, VLANs, routing protocols, and VPN configurations. Monitor network performance, bandwidth usage, and troubleshoot connectivity or hardware issues. Manage network security policies, Access Control Lists (ACLs), and firewall rules to protect company data. Perform regular network backups, firmware updates, and disaster recovery procedures. Ensure the implementation and maintenance of cybersecurity best practices across the work network. Systems and Server Support (Network-Related): Support Windows or Linux server environments related to network services (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, RADIUS). Collaborate with technical support and system administration teams to resolve integration and compatibility issues. Maintain accurate documentation of network architecture, IP addressing schemes, and technical asset inventory. Infrastructure and Connectivity Support: Ensure network connection stability and continuous uptime for critical operations, including IP-based monitoring systems and Call Center (VoIP) connections. Coordinate with Internet Service Providers (ISPs) and external vendors for the maintenance and upgrade of connectivity lines. Required Skills and Qualifications: At least 3 years of practical experience in network administration or network engineering. Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, Subnetting, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), DNS, DHCP, VPN. Proven experience in configuring and managing enterprise-level switches, routers, and firewalls from vendors like Cisco, Fortinet, or equivalent. Comprehensive understanding of network security, firewalls, and cybersecurity principles. Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications: Certified Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or CCNP certification. Experience in deploying and managing wireless networks. Knowledge of Voice over IP (VoIP) systems and IP camera network requirements. A relevant degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Benefits: Nominal salary ranging from 1,000,000 – 1,500,000 Iraqi Dinars. Paid annual leave. Working Hours: 8 hours per day, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
