News Reporter / Field Correspondent

Iraq 24 is looking for a professional news reporter to join its editorial and field team, contributing to the preparation and presentation of news coverage, television reports, and live segments according to high journalistic and professional standards. The reporter will work within the news team, in direct coordination with the newsroom, producers, and cameramen, to follow up on events and field developments, gather information, verify its accuracy, and present clear and reliable news stories that reflect reality and convey its details to the viewer professionally. Responsibilities: • Covering events, breaking news, conferences, and activities, and preparing news reports from the field. • Presenting live segments and coverage (Live Reporting) with clarity, confidence, and professionalism. • Preparing and writing news scripts and television reports in accordance with the channel's editorial standards. • Conducting journalistic interviews with officials, experts, and citizens, and gathering relevant statements and information. • Researching news and journalistic stories and developing ideas for distinctive field reports and coverage. • Verifying the accuracy of information and sources before preparing or presenting news materials for publication and broadcast. • Direct coordination with cameramen, producers, and editors to ensure coverage is implemented according to editorial and technical requirements. • Following up on political, economic, social, and security developments relevant to news coverage. • Responding quickly to urgent assignments and working efficiently in various field coverage conditions. • Adhering to objectivity, accuracy, balance, journalistic ethics, and the channel's editorial policy. Qualifications and Experience: • At least 2-3 years of practical experience in news reporting or television journalism. • Proficiency in formal Arabic (spoken and written), and the ability to present and speak in front of the camera fluently and clearly. • Strong skills in writing news reports, formulating television scripts, and conducting journalistic interviews. • Ability to present live segments and handle unexpected questions and developments during broadcasts. • Good knowledge of the Iraqi news landscape and its political, economic, and social developments. • Possess journalistic research skills, information verification, and professional handling of sources. • Ability to work under pressure and make quick editorial decisions in coordination with the newsroom. • High communication skills and the ability to build professional relationships with sources and work within a multidisciplinary team. • Willingness to travel to the field and cover events outside the channel's headquarters as required by the job. Salary and Benefits: • Monthly Salary: 800,000 Iraqi Dinars. • Additional transportation allowance: 200,000 Iraqi Dinars per month if using a personal car for work purposes and field coverage. • Total Salary and Allowances: 1,000,000 Iraqi Dinars per month when eligible for the transportation allowance. Work System: 8-hour daily shift, with the possibility of working in the morning or evening shift according to the work system and the needs of the newsroom and field coverage.
