Job Description
IQ Networks is seeking to hire a qualified and experienced IP & Access Network Engineer to contribute to the operation, maintenance, optimization, and expansion of the IP and Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) network infrastructure. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring network stability, optimizing its performance, and delivering the best customer experience.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
IP Networks:
Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Cisco Routers & Switches.
Work with VLANs, Trunks, STP, LACP/Port-Channels, and Routing & Switching technologies.
Configure and troubleshoot BGP and OSPF protocols.
Manage and support BNG services and subscribers via PPPoE.
Work with NAT/CGNAT, Access Control Lists (ACLs), Quality of Service (QoS), and subscriber speed management.
Monitor network performance, data usage, latency, and packet loss.
Address faults, outages, and performance issues.
Implement software updates and configuration changes on network devices.
Maintain configuration backups and recovery plans as needed.
FTTH and GPON Networks:
Configure and troubleshoot GPON OLT and ONT devices.
Understand and support the entire FTTH network path from OLT to ONT.
Resolve issues related to ONT registration, optical signal, VLAN configurations, and services.
Monitor optical power levels and GPON signal loss budgets.
Support FTTH network expansion projects and the installation of new OLT devices.
Coordinate with field teams to resolve fiber optic issues.
Systems and Monitoring:
Basic knowledge of Linux and Windows Server systems.
Familiarity with VMware and Virtualization technologies.
Utilize monitoring tools such as SNMP, Syslog, and NetFlow.
Knowledge of DNS, DHCP, NTP, SSH, and FTP/SFTP services.
Basic knowledge of Python or Bash is a plus.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
1 to 3 years of experience in telecommunications, Internet Service Providers (ISP), or network engineering.
CCNA level knowledge (mandatory).
CCNP certification is a plus.
Required Skills:
Strong knowledge of Cisco Routing & Switching networks.
Excellent understanding of TCP/IP protocol.
Experience with VLAN, STP, and LACP/Port-Channel technologies.
Experience with PPPoE and BNG services.
English language proficiency at B2 level or higher.
Working Conditions:
Full-time position.
Five working days per week.
Working hours from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
21 days of paid annual leave.
Office-based work with field visits as needed and support during network incidents and outages.
