Senior Accountant

HR Standards announces the opening of recruitment for one of its clients, a company specializing in detergents and perfumes. Location: Baghdad / Jamila 1,500,000 – 2,000,000 IQD monthly Job Type: Full-time | On-site Tasks and Responsibilities: · Oversee daily accounting operations, entries, general ledger, and financial transactions. · Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including budget and income statement. · Review accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accuracy of reconciliations and settlements. · Monitor inventory accounting, valuation, and cost of goods sold in coordination with the warehouse department. · Perform bank reconciliations, monitor cash flows, and ensure the accuracy of financial transaction recordings. · Follow up on periodic accounting closings and adhere to Iraqi financial systems and requirements. · Review records, support internal and external audit processes, and develop reporting procedures. Qualifications and Requirements: · Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. · 4 to 6 years of practical experience in accounting, preferably including an advanced role. · Strong knowledge of financial reporting, general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliations. · Experience in distribution, manufacturing, or Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) companies is preferred. · Proficiency in accounting systems and ERP, with practical experience on Odoo being an added advantage. · Advanced Excel skills, knowledge of Iraqi accounting and tax requirements, and high analytical and organizational skills.
