Vehicle Diagnostics Technician

• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic vehicle malfunctions using diagnostic equipment and approved software. • Analyze fault codes and read live data to identify the root causes of problems. • Diagnose engine, transmission, brake, steering, suspension, and air conditioning/cooling systems. • Inspect electrical circuits, sensors, and control units using measurement devices and technical diagrams. • Perform necessary pre- and post-repair checks and tests to ensure the fault is resolved. • Utilize technical information and diagnostic procedures approved by General Motors. • Collaborate with technicians and service advisors to identify faults and provide appropriate technical recommendations. • Accurately document diagnostic results and work performed. • Adhere to safety procedures, quality standards, and company policies. Required Qualifications: • Practical experience in diagnosing modern vehicle malfunctions, preferably with General Motors vehicles. • Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment and electrical measurement devices. • Good knowledge of electronic control systems, sensors, and electrical circuits. • Ability to read electrical diagrams, technical information, and analyze fault data. • Skill in identifying the root causes of problems, not just reading fault codes. • A diploma or institute certificate in automotive mechanics, automotive electrical systems, or a related field is preferred. • Ability to read and write; knowledge of technical English is an added advantage.
