Audio Technician / Sound Engineer

Iraq 24 is looking for a professional Audio Technician to join its technical and production team, contributing to ensuring the audio quality of news bulletins, programs, interviews, and television coverage according to professional broadcasting standards. The Audio Technician will work within the production team, in direct coordination with the director, control room, and technical teams, to manage and monitor audio sources, ensuring their clarity and balance during recording and live broadcasting. Responsibilities: Operating and managing audio systems and equipment within the studio and control room. Setting up and adjusting microphones and various audio sources before recording and live broadcasting. Continuously monitoring audio levels and quality during bulletins, programs, and interviews. Performing audio mixing and managing audio sources according to production requirements. Handling wireless microphones, intercom systems, and external audio sources. Identifying and quickly resolving technical issues related to audio during broadcast or recording. Conducting audio tests and ensuring equipment readiness before production begins. Coordinating with the director, cameramen, lighting, and production teams to ensure the integration of technical elements. Maintaining audio equipment, monitoring its readiness, and reporting any malfunctions or technical needs. Adhering to approved technical standards for audio quality and television broadcasting. Qualifications and Experience: Minimum 2-4 years of practical experience in audio engineering or operation within a professional television or production environment. Proficiency in using audio mixers, microphones, and professional audio systems. Good understanding of audio signal flow, audio levels, and audio processing principles. Knowledge of audio systems used in studios and multi-camera production environments. Ability to diagnose technical problems and make quick decisions during live broadcasts. Ability to work under pressure and maintain focus and accuracy in a fast-paced production environment. Good communication skills and the ability to work harmoniously within an integrated technical and production team. Work System: Daily work of 8 hours, with the possibility of working in the morning or evening shifts according to the work system and broadcasting and production needs.
