Lawyer / Legal Counsel

For one of our clients specializing in pipes and fittings, we are looking for a Lawyer / Legal Counsel to join the team and contribute to managing the company's legal affairs and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Job Responsibilities: • Following up on company registration procedures, establishment, licenses, and industrial registrations. • Following up on legal matters related to taxes, labor laws, social security, and residency and work permits for foreign employees. • Preparing and reviewing contracts and agreements and negotiating them with suppliers, contractors, clients, and business partners. • Ensuring compliance with laws and regulations related to industrial and manufacturing activities. • Following up on licenses, approvals, and transactions with government agencies and coordinating with regulatory bodies. • Following up on legal disputes, claims, and lawsuits, and coordinating with external counsel when necessary. • Identifying legal risks and providing necessary advice to protect the company's interests. • Organizing and maintaining contracts, licenses, documents, and official legal records. Qualifications and Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in Law. • Valid membership in the Iraqi Bar Association. • Good knowledge of company laws, commercial law, labor law, tax law, and industrial laws. • Knowledge of procedures and regulations related to industrial development. • Experience in following up on licenses, approvals, and government transactions. • Strong skills in legal drafting, contract review, and negotiation. • Good communication, organization, and time management skills. • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple files efficiently. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Job Details: Work Location: Baghdad – Al-Zafraniya Working Hours: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM Working Days: Saturday – Thursday Monthly Salary: 1,500,000 – 2,000,000 Iraqi Dinars Work-related transportation expenses: Covered by the company.
