General Accountant & Cashier

A startup company specializing in import and export is announcing its need for a General Accountant & Cashier to join the team. Location: Baghdad – Mansour – Al-Amirat Street Working Hours: 8 hours daily Working Days: 6 days a week Salary: From 1,000,000 to 1,500,000 Iraqi Dinars, determined by experience and competence. Tasks and Responsibilities: - Recording and following up on daily accounting entries and transactions. - Managing the cash fund and monitoring cash receipts and payments. - Preparing receipt and disbursement vouchers and ensuring completeness of supporting documents. - Performing reconciliation and periodic inventory of the cash fund. - Following up on supplier and customer accounts and outstanding amounts. - Organizing and archiving invoices and financial documents. - Monitoring expenses and revenues and preparing periodic financial reports. - Assisting in preparing monthly accounting adjustments and closings. - Coordinating with management regarding daily payments, collections, and financial matters. Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field. - Practical experience in accounting and cash fund management. - Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel and accounting software. - Accuracy, honesty, and ability to bear responsibility. - Good skills in organization, follow-up, and document management. - Knowledge of accounting transactions related to import and export is preferred.
