Network Engineer

Commercial Islamic Bank of Iraq is looking to hire a Network Engineer to support the IT Infrastructure and Network Operations function. Key responsibilities include managing and maintaining the Bank’s LAN, WAN, WLAN, and network infrastructure, configuring Cisco switches, routers, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless infrastructure, monitoring network performance, availability, capacity, and security, troubleshooting network connectivity, routing, switching, and performance issues, managing VLANs, IP addressing, routing protocols, DHCP, DNS, NAT, and VPN technologies, supporting network segmentation and security controls, monitoring network devices using tools like PRTG or SolarWinds, supporting network redundancy and high availability solutions, performing network configuration, upgrades, backups, and change management, investigating network incidents, coordinating with telecom providers and vendors, and maintaining network documentation. Required profile includes a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or a related field, 3+ years of hands-on experience in network engineering or administration, strong practical experience with Cisco networking technologies, strong knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, DNS, DHCP, NAT, VPN, and network troubleshooting, experience with firewalls and network security technologies, experience with network monitoring tools, familiarity with Cisco IOS/IOS-XE, experience with network redundancy and high-availability technologies, experience working with ISPs and vendors. Banking or other regulated environments are highly preferred. CCNA certification is preferred; CCNP is an advantage. Salary offered is 625,000 – 1,000,000 IQD, depending on experience and technical qualifications. Work Location: Al-Saadoun Street – Baghdad.
