Vehicle Diagnostics Technician

Job opportunity for a Vehicle Diagnostics Technician in Baghdad at Ayass Automotive, the authorized dealer for General Motors brands (Chevrolet, GMC, Cadillac). Working Hours: 8 hours daily. Working Days: 6 days a week. Salary: Starts from 1,000,000 Iraqi Dinars, determined based on experience and competence, in addition to bonuses and additional benefits. Responsibilities: • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic vehicle faults using approved diagnostic equipment and software. • Analyze fault codes and read live data to identify root causes of problems. • Diagnose engine, transmission, brake, steering, suspension, and HVAC systems. • Inspect electrical circuits, sensors, and control modules using measurement tools and technical diagrams. • Perform necessary pre- and post-repair inspections and tests to ensure the fault is resolved. • Utilize technical information and diagnostic procedures approved by General Motors. • Collaborate with technicians and service advisors to identify faults and provide appropriate technical recommendations. • Accurately document diagnostic results and work performed. • Adhere to safety procedures, quality standards, and company policies. Required Qualifications: • Practical experience in diagnosing modern vehicle faults, preferably with General Motors vehicles. • Proficiency in using diagnostic scanning tools and electrical measurement devices. • Good knowledge of electronic control systems, sensors, and electrical circuits. • Ability to read electrical schematics, technical information, and analyze fault data. • Skill in identifying root causes of problems, not just reading fault codes. • Diploma or institute certificate in Automotive Mechanics, Automotive Electrical, or a related field is preferred. • Literacy in reading and writing; knowledge of technical English is an added advantage.
